Top prize went to the London Design Museum. EMYA jury chair and European Museum Forum board member José Gameiro noted how the ERM preserves and interprets memories in a way that makes the museum an inclusive and creative learning environment for all. "The ERM is engaged in a complex and controversial history, and sees its main task of collecting and preserving memories in order to create a new way of having a cultural dialogue which links the past with the future," Gameiro explained. "The ERM has given the concept of a national museum a new meaning through a dialogue-based, multi-voiced and participatory approach to cultural history"

From a constrained and rigorous Haussmanian plan, the space has been simplified and lightened while retaining a very refined classical spirit; Wardrobes underlined in brass, rounded and custom-made, punctuate the space, choice of a light color palette, moldings and finishes in stucco with a slightly pearly patina, implementation of noble materials such as solid oak parquet and marble.
Everything created in the respect of the parisian elegance tradition.

"Beirut is a mixture of ruins of war, it is also a Beirut that evolves and transform with the repetition of the same apartments, with towers emerging in the city. On the other hand, these little houses that represent history. This building, for me, is a little materialization of all these stories in a single stele». Lina Ghotmeh

Both a landscape to survey and to visit, a place devoted to the transmission of the knowledge with workshops organized by ‘l’Atelier des regardeurs’ and events within the framework of the night of the ideas or for other teaching possibilities for the young audience or adults. Lina Ghotmeh — Architecture builds steps of varying levels, made of gray cement planks with golden edges reminiscent of the Japanese Kintsugi method. Its structure translates in its form the very idea of meeting and sharing knowledge. A 'landscape art' where the courses and discussions will take place.
